It has taken me a few days to relive the details of the horrific road trip from hell that we endured over Christmas. Travelling with children is trying at the best of times. Travelling with children over Christmas when they are jacked up on sugar and anticipation in the dead of winter…SEVENTH LEVEL OF HELL. I am still slightly rocking in the fetal position, but this too shall pass. To break it down for you, here are the numbers:

1 Dodge Grand Caravan
2 sick and teething infants
1 preschooler
1 Grade Two-er
2 frazzled parents
1 Boston Terrier with gas
2 provinces
9 hours
110 gifts rammed in the Stow and Go
6 suitcases
1 stroller
1 Nintendo DS
1 iPad blaring non-stop Power Rangers
37 pieces of Lego lost underfoot
1 piece of gum mashed into the carpet
2 carseats
2 booster seats
1 case of diapers
4 cans of infant formula
4 sticky greasy fast food combos
8,920,491 calories
12 coffees
2 tanks of gas
4 bottles of Extra Strength Advil
2 boxes of Kleenex
1 pair of pants peed in
9 total meltdowns (only 1 was mine)
6 bottles fed with my arm twisted behind my back over the seat so we didn’t miss a second on the road
